Think It Through: Go and Make Disciples of All Nations

This past Sunday morning, Craig shared a big chunk of his heart and vision for his family’s plan to follow Jesus. As we reflect on God working with ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary things, it is both scary and encouraging to examine our own life and responsiveness to our King.

It is also very good to remember that Hong Kong is a Summitview thing, and not just a Swing thing. In light of those ideas, please consider chewing on some of the following questions.

1) What do you think will be the immediate effect of Summitview’s efforts in Hong Kong on:

a. You personally?

b. Your family?

c. Your community group?

2) If you were to ask God what part he would have you play, what could you dream he may have you do?

3) Craig shared many of the significant moments of decision and direction change in his life. What are 3 or 4 of the most significant moments in your life where God led you clearly?

4) What were the life circumstances that God used to bring you to the point of realizing your need for a savior?

5) What would be something God might ask you to do that would really make you uncomfortable?

6) Is there anything big you are asking God for? Do you have a specific desire to be used you in a gospel or Kingdom initiative?

Which God?

Reading in Joshua this morning and was encouraged to read about Joshua challenging the Israelites to choose their god. We must challenge ourselves with the same question daily. Which god will I serve today? Will it be the god of power or the god of money or some other worldly god or will it be the one true God of the Bible?

Joshua 24:15 And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the Lord, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
