Zephaniah 1:12 - At that time I will search Jerusalem with lamps and punish those who are complacent, who are like wine left on its dregs, who think, 'The LORD will do nothing, either good or bad.'
Just believing that God exists does not impress Him. The Lord is looking for those that not only believe that He exists but that He is able and does act. God has an agenda and is actively pursuing it. God also has an agenda for our lives and He is interested in those who have decided that He is all powerful and all knowing and will decisively act accordingly.
Consider this prayer today: God I acknowledge that you alone are God, that you are powerful and that you do act in real, tangible ways in this universe, in this world and in my life. God, everything is under your control. God, help me to act accordingly and to do your will today.
