Sunday: Defender of Faith
Just a couple of follow-up notes from the teaching this past Sunday.
We kicked-off a new series on Galatians. Galatians is a powerful letter written by the Apostle Paul who detected that the Galatians were being led astray by a false gospel and God used Paul to set things straight.
Just a few points that were emphasized on Sunday:
Have a great week.

Just a few points that were emphasized on Sunday:
- Salvation comes by grace through faith - period.
- Grace is a gift from God that is worth defending.
- For those that have received God's grace (Jesus Christ), we do not have to be ashamed or embarrassed about what we have been given but rather must go on the offensive to share it with others.
- We must take responsibility for our own faith in order to refute false doctrine and to resist being led astray.
Have a great week.

Integrity
Proverbs 10:9 (NIV)
The man of integrity walks securely, but he who takes crooked paths will be found out.
God is looking for men, women and students who are committed to integrity. Integrity is all about consistent character - about being consistent in our character. Are you committed to integrity?

Contend for the Faith
I love the phrase in Jude 1:3 - "contend for the faith." God has given us a gift of faith in Christ. Are we good stewards of that gift that has been entrusted to us?
The word 'contend' carries with it a connotation of "to strive for" or "to fight for." Are we willing to fight for it? If not, it will will be stolen from us.
We will have to decide what we are willing to fight for. Let's contend for the faith together.

God's Men
God holds up Timothy and Epaphroditus to us as examples of being godly men in Philippians 2:19-30. Men of compassion, character, commitment, courage, and relationally united with other men as brothers, fellow workers and fellow soldiers.
Men, let's take the one next step that God has waiting for you to step into in becoming the man that He has envisioned you to be. Reject the path of passivity that we have inherited from Adam and be men of action called by the "second Adam", Jesus Christ.
