Jesus, Our Example

God's goal for His people are that we would conform more and more to the image of Christ. In our reading for today, John 13:3-17, Jesus shows us what it is to be a servant through the example of washing the disciples' feet. That's one of the things that I love about Jesus - He didn't just say things, He demonstrated and showed us what to do in order to become more like Him.

But I can be just like Peter and miss what Jesus is showing me. What He wants me to be part of and how He wants me to join God in His work. To be a part of building God's kingdom.

God, help us to not miss what God is doing today that He wants us to join Him in. Help us to not be involved in things that we shouldn't be. Help us to say the right things to the right people and to not say the wrong things to the wrong people.
