Reasons to Worship

As I read 1 Chronicles 16:23-36 this morning, I was struck by simply my need to acknowledge God for who He is. And then I thought what better way to do that by pulling out my "Reason to Worship God" list that I started yesterday that was a "Next Step" suggestion from the "Think It Through" for this week.

Here is my Top 10 list that I started yesterday and was reminded of this morning:

God deserves my worship because...

1. He's God (could have probably stopped right there!)
2. He has given me life
3. He has given me a wife
4. He has given me a family
5. He provides for my needs
6. He has given me salvation through His son, Jesus
7. He has given me a church family
8. He has provided leaders and staff for His local churches (SVCC and Day Seven)
9. He has given me gifts and skills
10. He has given me the Holy Spirit to guide and direct me

I have many reasons to worship - to bow down, shaw-khaw' - God. This list is just the tip of the iceberg, but it's a start.
