Don't Give Up

I was encouraged this morning as I read Galatians 6:7-9 as God reminded me once again that it is not easy to follow Him. It's not easy because it's not passive. In order to follow Christ I must sow and reap according to how God would have me sow and reap. Of course, we have been given free-will by God and so we can choose to sow and reap whatever we choose. But God's desire for me is that I would sow what He wants me to sow so that I can reap what He wants me to reap. And to keep doing it again and again and to not give up even when it is painful and hard. And if I don't give up God promises a harvest. I'm counting on that harvest but until that time comes, I'll just keep sowing.

I also read this from Psalms this morning:

Psalm 116:6-7 (NLT)

The LORD protects those of childlike faith; I was facing death, and then he saved me. Now I can rest again, for the LORD has been so good to me.

God is indeed SOOOO good and He gives us rest. My story is no different - I was facing death and then He saved me and in that there is rest for my soul.

What has God taught you today?
