Proverbs 18

22 He who finds a wife finds what is good
and receives favor from the LORD.

I was convicted by the above verse this morning as a husband. I know this is true, but I often do not express it as if it is true in my marriage.

I pray this morning for myself and for all of us husbands that we would not only know the truth of this verse but that we would be able to express it to our wives in the context of our marriages. My action point for today is to express the reality of this verse to my wife.

What wisdom did God give you today? Let's be ones that "live the Word" today.

  1. Proverbs 18:13 "He who answers before listening-that is his folly and his shame."

I memorised this verse not to long ago and the more I think about it the more I relize how often I answer before I listen. I relize how much i hurt others when I do that and how unexceptable it is.
I need to stop my self and listen and that is hard for me, but I can do anything through Him who gives me strength.

  2. How so very true Chris. So often I can tell my wife that I love her, but I don't always show it in my actions. I believe it is another act of worship that God gives us to use in our marriages.
And what a blessing they are to us!

  3. That's funny because this verse stuck out to me as well. In my case, I thought about my future wife that God is preparing me for. I definitely want to be prepared for that blessing.
