I am always amazed at how easily I can forget what God taught me in the last 48 hours or so. But when I write it down or share it with someone else I am not as prone to forget. In a sense, it becomes more "real" to me because I have spoken it or written it.
What did God teach you this weekend?
During these past few weeks, God has reminded me how MUCH He loves me - by giving me His commandments. I was reminded that God gave us His commands BECAUSE we are His people - a confirmation of our relationship with Him. Not a way for Him to trip me up or catch me in sin. But a way to live out how He created me to be. And, honor seems to be the key word. Honor God.
ReplyDeleteThis past weekend, while reviewing the last 6 commandments, I was reminded of how I should view my fellow man. And, once again, it's all about honor. Honor others.
It is not about the rules. And, it's not about how I can measure up. But it is all about valuing God's words and His ways. And not because I have to, but because I want to. I really do want to please Him.
Thanks for helping me to remember what a wonderful relationship I have with my Heavenly Father!
