After reading and thinking a little bit on our reading for today (John 14:15-21), I am blown away by the reality of how my love for God is manifested in my simple obedience to Him. My obedience doesn't earn my acceptance by God but it does clearly express my love for Him.
But wait there's more! Our obedience to God doesn't only reflect the love that we have for God today, but our obedience also enriches and develops our relationship with Him in the future. As we learn to trust God and we are able to express our love for Him through our obedience, our relationship with Him gets stronger and built up.
And when that happens, we will no longer be able to contain it and it spills over into the lives of others. May that be our testimony today.
