As I read Exodus 20:1-7 again today, I find comfort in Jesus' answer when He was once asked, "What is the greatest commandment?" And He simply said, "Love God with everything you've got." And God tells us exactly what that means in commandments one, two and three.
1) Put God first by not putting anything above Him.
2) Don't try to manage or manipulate God.
3) Don't try to leverage God or His name for our own benefit.
God wants us to have a healthy realtionship with us and so He simply tells us how to do just that. God is so good!
