Encourage Someone Today

Hebrews 3:12-13 (NIV)
See to it, brothers, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin's deceitfulness.

I was reminded this morning of this verse.  Find a way to encourage someone else today.  A kind word, a smile, a good deed, listening to someone are just some of the ways you can encourage someone today.

Another way is to share what God is teaching you and what difference it is making in your life.  What is God teaching you today?  When we share that with others, it encourages them.  What better way to share what God is teaching you than here on this blog?  Press the "comments" link below and share.

  1. I was reading through Romans, chapter 11 today and was reminded of God's crazy love for me! In verse 17, God says, "If some of the branches have been broken off, and you (ME!), though a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing sap from the olive root, do not boast over those branches. If you do, consider this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you."

This reminds me of my heritage - I have been grafted in to God's family. He brought me into His Tree of Life! I am supported by His root. I can take no credit for my life. It is soley because of HIM.

This encourages me and gives me hope today. I trust it will do the same for others!
